Reproduction  by Spores
The fern is an example of a plant that reproduces asexually through the production of spores.  Note the sori where spores are produced on the sporophyte and the sexual gametophyte phase in the life cycle.

Rhizome and corm.  A rhizome is an underground stem that produces aerial shoots from its nodes.  A corm is a fleshy underground stem with papery leaves.  Identify the nodes on each.

Bulb and storage root.  The bulb is composed of large fleshy leaves with a very small basal stem.  A storage root such as the sweet potato can produce shoots from its upper surface.
