The text book for this course is "Introductory Plant Biology" by Stern, Bidlack and Jansky. It will not be available at the book store, you must purchase it online or from another source.

Botany 1411 is an introductory course in botany.  It will cover general chemistry, the cell, genetics, plant tissues, roots, leaves, stems, plant reproduction, plant metabolism, plant diversity and plant ecology.  In the Texas Gulf Coastal and Hawaiian Field Studies Programs, the class is designed to prepare students for the work that will be completed in the field, either in Hawaii or on the Texas Gulf Coast.
